Diary describes work and training of 3rd Field Ambulance, landing at Gallipoli and evacuation of casualties. Sergeant Brown worked on the hospital ships Malda, Suffolk, and Galeka as well as on the peninsula. Mentions fighting, general conditions, execution of spies on Lemnos, diseases including cholera, until his own evacuation due to illness.
