1917 Souvenir de France
Description
Embroidered silk postcard made in France during the First World War. This postcard features an envelope design with the individual numbers of the year "1917" composed of the Union Jack, Belgian, French, American, Serbian and Portugal flags on the flap with pink flowers. The phrase 'Souvenir de France' is underneath. Inside is a small card with a basket of flowers surrounded by bunting made of allied flags with the phrase 'With loving chrsitmas greetings'. On the back of this card is a letter form 2805 Thomas Gregory De Mamiel to his sister Muriel, Belguim, 18 November 1917
