Description
"The Hem of Eternity". An autobiographical account of the author's war time experiences with the 2/8 Infantry Battalion in Palestine, the Western Desert, Derna, Greece, Crete, Syria, Australia & Borneo. Includes maps, photographs and a glossary. Added to this collection in 2013 was some additional manuscript notes (mainly handwritten) that became a rough draft of the book published by Roland Griffiths-Marsh. Includes some annotations made by Griffiths-Marsh. See also MSS1024 "At the edge of the sword" and published book, "Sixpenny Soldier" (Sydney, Angus & Robertson, 1990), later published under the title of "I was only sixteen".
