Some of these purposes include general flight training, bombing and gunnery training, cross country flights, and bombing operations targeting enemy-occupied Europe. After the cessation of the Second World War, Warrant Officer Alcock’s log book records that he took part in flights for the purposes of training, transport, and ceremony until he transferred to 1 Bomber Squadron and served in the Malayan Emergency in 1950. This log book also includes certificates for courses completed.
