Description
Letter from Walter Harold Mobbs to Mr Cottnell, Howbury Hall, Bedford, 19 October 1916. In the letter Mobbs talks about friends involved in the war, speaks of his injury, hospital care and the vote on conscription. Attached to the letter is a photograph taken in front of Howbury Hall of recovering soldiers with four nurses. Mobbs went on to marry Eliza Maketon, a nurse at Howbury Hall.
