Description
Letter from 11408 Gunner Louie [Louis] Samuels to Mr Heney, In the Field, 8 October 1916. In the letter Samuels talks of meeting and typing an article for Charles E W Bean after Poziers and his discomfort of having one of his letter published in “The Sun”. Samuels also mentions leaving the Somme, his surprise at the need to encourage soldiers to enlist and how he believes that the war will continue into the winter.
