Description
Diary relating to the First World War service of 3842 Private John Hardie, 33rd Battalion. The entries in this diary span the period 1 February - 23 September 1918. In this diary Hardie writes about leaving Warminster, England and returning to the base and arriving at the Reinforcement camp. Hardie mentions re-joining his battalion in France and his experience of attacks and witnessing lives lost in the trenches of the Western Front.
