Description
Letter from John Watson to the Editor of the Sydney Morning Herald, Penrith, 28 September 1917. In his letter, Watson is writing in response to an article in the paper he read that day. He mentions that his son Jack was serving in Ypres until May of 1915 when his was injured and has enclosed a recent letter from his son as well as an extract requesting that they be published in the paper. Watson also included the original envelope from his son and a self addressed stamped envelope to return the original letter to him.
