Oversize wallet 1 of 16 contains a report by Lieutenant Colonel Geroge Ernest Ramsay, Officer Commanding 2/30th Australian Infantry Battalion AIF on the conditions of POW [Prisoner-of-War] camps under command during the period February 1942 - August 1944, with a more general reference only to subsequent events. Collection also includes a one page letter, dated 24 September 1945, from Lieutenant Colonel Ramsay regarding a copy of a talk that he delivered to 2000 members of "Ramsay" Force and "Black" Force at the Burma-Thailand Railway Construction Camp on Christmas Eve, 1942.
