Description

Recording of the song titled, 'Over there', created as part of the Music and the First World War project. Music and lyrics written by George Cohan. Produced by Chris Latham, with Andrew Goodwin as vocalist (tenor), and Alan Hicks on piano. This recording was made at Flat Rock Studios, Sydney, on 14 February 2018. The work is performed in the spirit of the time with some changes made for the modern ear.

Chris Latham, producer of this recording, notes: "This is a classic American song that sounds like the tin-pan alley era. It is very catchy and has a bugler tune. This song is the American equivalent of 'Its a long, long way to Tipperary'."
