The work is performed in the spirit of the time with some changes made for the modern ear.

Chris Latham, producer of this recording, notes: 'This is a clever and totally perfect song. It is perfectly made. The satire has a perfect cut to it. It is catchy and everyone can sing it. This song uses a memorable rhythmic device, known as a hook. It is the epitome of charm and very funny. It is the perfect getting everyone laughing song. Once you hear it, you feel a sense of familiarity with it.'
