Description

File of letters relating to the First World War service of 34298 Gunner William Rawson Leach, 8th Australian Field Artillery Brigade. The letters cover between 8 April and 16 June 1919 and detail: a recount of a tour he and a friend went on through Belgium for eight days describing the places he visited; his return to England; being offered a job at an engineering firm at Aberdeen for a few months before the boat takes him to Australia; a shipping strike in Australia and his fears that it will delay his return home.
