Melbourne, Vic. 1943-04-06. Sergeant (Sgt) (Edward) Ambrose Dyson Jr (nephew of Will Dyson and Ambrose Dyson Sr), staff artist for the `Salt', Australian Army Education Section Journal. Sgt Dyson Jr also contributed social-realist cartoons to various Melbourne publications during World War 2. He won first prize in the graphics section and second prize in the Civil Construction Corps of the `Australia at War' competitive exhibition in 1945.
