414219 Wing Commander (Wing Cdr) William Alexander Forbes DFC (right), Commanding Officer of Lancaster No. 463 Squadron RAAF; 415192 Squadron Leader (Sqn Ldr, later Wing cdr) Desmond Joseph Sullivan DFC (left), Flight Commander of the Squadron, and 416685 Sqn Ldr (later Wing Cdr) Eric Le Page Langlois DFC, Flight Commander of Lancaster No. 467 Squadron RAAF, with the Honorable AS Drakeford, Australian Minister for Air, during his visit to RAF Station Waddington. Wing Cdr Langlois was lost on operations with No. 467 Squadron on 3 March 1945, while on a bombing mission over Ladbergen, Gemany while Wing Cdr Forbes was lost on a bombing mission over Mehringen, Germany on 21 February 1945
