Diary related to the Second World War service of VX5354 Sergeant Keith Lindsay Lewtas, 2/2 Field regiment. This diary written between 27 August 1942 and 18 April 1944 mentions: his return to the regiment; his opinion the involvement of the United States of America in the war and the situation in Australia; the move to Greta and his recreational actives in the surrounding areas; his promotion to sergeant; his home leave in December 1942 and April 1944; his various leave trips to Sydney and Melbourne; the training he receives; the move to the Atherton tableland and being awarded the Africa Star.
