Collection relating to the Second World War service of NX70416 Brigadier F.G. Galleghan D.S.O. O.B.E. E.D., 8th Australian Division, 1942-1945.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Collection contains one notebook including information related to the AIF in Singapore and the surrounding area between 1942 and 1945. The notebook includes information on the numbers of POWs, casualties during and after the campaign, rations, hospital data, main incidents such as deaths and massacres, Red Cross supplies, Imperial Japanese Army gardens, cemeteries, and embarkation classifications. Collection also contains an envelope addressed to ‘Brigadier F.G. Galleghan, D.S.O. O.B.E. E.D. 8th Aust. Division’ with an Australian Coat of Arms on reverse.
