Collection relating to the service of Captain Ivor Stephen Margetts, 12 Battalion, at sea, Egypt, Lemnos, Gallipoli, France, 1914-1916.
Wallet 1 of 2 – Wallet consists of a photostat copy of a diary kept by Captain Margetts between January 1915 and December 1916. Margetts describes his time in Egypt, landing on Gallipoli at 4.20am on 25th April 1915, and his eight months of service on Gallipoli.
