Documents relating to the Second World War service of NX20572 Corporal Alexander Roland Campbell Johnstone, 2/15th Field Regiment and Audit Office, Command Pay Staff of the AIF in Malaya.
This file contains a handmade 1942 Christmas menu from Jinsen Camp featuring drawings of a candle and a bottle, a book titled “Chosen Recipes" written by Johnstone at Jinsen Camp with recipes ranging from sweet to savoury, and a book titled “Chosen Cocktails" containing recipes for a variety of beverages. The file also includes a pencil sketch of Johnstone in uniform, a book titled "Sketches of a POW in Korea" by J.D. Wilkinson containing drawings with captions, and Johnstone’s demobilisation procedure book including discharge forms.
