Description
The crew of Australian Army Chinook A15-202 prepare the aircraft for return to Kandahar in minus six degrees conditions having spent the night at Qalat FARP (Forward Arming and Refueling Point). The previous day, during a 7.8 hour Aqua Ring resupply mission, an external load malfunction resulted in the release of a shipping container mid-flight. Crew members: Capt Jason Otter Aircraft Captain, Capt Scott Matthey Pilot, Cpl Richard ‘Scooter’ Wakelin, Cpl Garth Pregnell and Sgt Greg Maiden Aircrewman Technician.
