OP Commando Shield (4) PZ extraction onload of ANSF panoramic of obj.
Operation Commando Shield (a joint US/ANSF ground force mission) Part 4 - an Australian flag and a pair of fluffy dice hang from the ceiling of Australian Army CH-47D Chinook A15-106 as it undertakes an extraction onload of Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) soldiers from PZ during Operation Commando Shield (a joint US/ANSF ground force mission). Filmed by Captain Jason Otter, C Squadron, 5th Aviation Regiment (5 Avn Regt). Capt Otter later noted: "After landing the Ramp Gunner stands awaiting the arrival of the ANSF onboard 106. Capt Lukas Wild's fluffy dice can be seen in the image along with the Australian National Flag lining the Roof of 106. Seats are all laid out with seat belts set for the men to secure themselves once onboard. ANSF have embedded US forces with them. Footage ends with a pan across Flying Pilot Capt Lukas Wild, through to company UH60 (forces unloaded, ready for departure) and then outside the cockpit window onto the objective being tracked by the M134 mini gun". For this mission, the aircraft flew in formation with seven UH-60 Black Hawks (two visible in footage), three CH-47D Chinooks, two AH-64 Apache and four OH-58D Kiowa.
