OP Commando Thunder Spare Shutdown OH58 and Herc Departure.
Description
Operation Commando Thunder, Spare Shutdown, Australian Army CH-47D Chinook A15-201. OH-58 Kiowa lands in background followed by departure of a C-130 Hercules. Flightline filmed by Captain Jason Otter, 5th Aviation Regiment (5 Avn Regt). Captain Otter later noted: Captain (Capt) Naomi "Narmz" Rogusz, Capt Scott Matthey and Sergeant Lee Maloney are in [Australian Army Ch-47D Chinook] A15-201. They have prepared and started the aircraft as the Spare should the primary aircraft [A15-106] have an issue on start. On this occasion the primary aircraft proceeds on mission and the spare is shutdown and readied for a subsequent mission.
