Lincolnshire, England. C. 1945-05. Informal group portrait of repatriated Australian and Allied prisoners of war (POWs) flown from Germany in an RAAF Lancaster aircraft after VE Day (1945-05-08), are greeted by Women's Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF) on arrival at RAF Station Waddington. Third from right is Private M. G. Reed, of North Unley, SA, an AIF 7th Division gunner captured in Greece.
