Wallet 2 of 2 – Consists of two folders of material relating to Stoker Evans’ service on the HMAS Sydney (II).
Folder 1 contains one HMAS Sydney (II) Christmas Day menu, dated 1940, and one copy of naval messages exchanged upon the HMAS Sydney (II)’s departure from the Mediterranean on 9 January 1941.
Folder 2 contains five folders of photographs, arranged according to subject. They depict events relating to the HMAS Sydney and other ships in the British Mediterranean Fleet, including the sinking of the Italian destroyer Artigliere by HMS York, a presentation of the first Italian bomber forced down on Egyptian territory, the bombing of Italian ships in the Adriatic, and the Battle of Cape Spada.
