Wellington, New Zealand. C. 1943. The first Lancaster aircraft to be flown from the United Kingdom to Australia created a record in the process and was again the first Lancaster to cover the trip from Melbourne to Wellington. The Lancaster completed the second part of the record flight in seven hours thirty seven minutes. She was piloted by an all Australian "Pathfinder" crew.
