Original caption: "Neil Davis talks with a British correspondent (James Fenton) and Viet-Cong commanding-general Tran Van Tra at a reception at Doc Lap (independence) Palace in Saigon on June 6, 1975 - the anniversary of the founding of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of South Vietnam (the Viet-Cong). Tra later sent into 'retirement' - he was too popular for the North Vietnamese victors. Tra was/is a South Vietnamese - Viet-Cong. General Tran Van Tra (Comm. General NVA/VC forces is S. Vietnam). Chairman of Military Management Committee."
