Collection relating to the Second World War service and death of 427632 Pilot Officer John Leslie (Jack) Bairstow, No. 1660 Conversion Unit, Royal Australian Air Force, (formerly W22622 Sapper John Leslie (Jack) Bairstow, 13 Field Company, Australian Army), Australia, At sea and England, 21 June 1941 - 20 January 1965.

Wallet 4 of 4 comprises two folders:

Folder 2 of 2 - Includes a souvenir hair lock from John Leslie (Jack) Bairstow taken when aged 15 months, and an undated application for enlistment in the Australian Military Forces, the contents of which suggest was prepared by Bairstow when transferring from the Australian Army to the Royal Australian Air Force in August 1942. This folder also contains three Acknowledgement of Receipt Electoral Claims relating to Bairstow's mother and father from the 1960s, an undated scrap of paper and 15 envelopes that have been detached from their original correspondence.
