Description

Chinook coming into fire support base Peggy lifting guns out. Unpacking gear fixed onto guns for lift. Guns being unlimbered and swung into position. General sounds as gun is set in. Gun being prepared for action. Ammo boxes being opened and shells prepared for firing. Bulldozers working. Fire mission being ordered. Guns firing. Fire orders being given. Night firing. Orders being given, sounds of guns being loaded, fired and the dull echoing sounds in the distance of rounds impacting. Gun crew preparing for action. Set up in bunker. Night firing. Chinook flying in, dropping gear, Sandbagging with bulldozer working in background. Directions being given to guns through handmike. Forward observer's party from 161 Battery (NZ) with D Coy 8RAR on Operation Atherton. Also identified: FO, Capt T. B.
