Wallet 2 of 5 – Booklet 9 (pp. 301-448) - The booklet covers the operations and movements of the 2/7 Infantry Battalion in Greece and Crete, and Marshall's experience as a prisoner of war in Germany. The booklet includes: written extracts from “Camp”, the newspaper printed for prisoners of war for the period January to June 1941; coloured hand-drawn maps of the battles of Bardia and Tobruk; a drawing of a front line post at Bardia; newspaper clippings and images with handwritten captions. The movements of the 2/7 Infantry Battalion are represented in coloured hand-drawn maps of the coast of Libya, Egypt and Palestine, and of Greece, Kalamata and Crete. The final part of the booklet comprises notes taken while Marshall was back in England, in April 1945. Marshall resumes his narrative and covers the period when he was prisoner in Greece and Germany. The text is complemented with hand-drawn maps of barracks, of camp Oflag VI-B at Dössel in Germany, and postcards of a German castle (possibly Schloss Spangenberg).
