Hiroshima Highway, Japan. 1949-06-24. A BCOF bus submerged in water after plunging into the sea on the road between Iwakuni and Kure, killing 3/449 Captain J. F. Smith, Royal Australian Army Service Corps, and injuring nine other members of the Buffalo Lodge.
