Warpaper (grey)
Description
Evans' 'Warpaper' series is a body of work related to the impact of war on society and the issue of world powers waging war to maintain the peace. 'Warpaper' uses a repetitive series of panels depicting world leaders and helicopters superimposed over a skull of flags. Evans uses familiar objects to lure the viewer into assuming this is merely a decorative piece, but her work confronts the audience to re-evaluate innocuous pictorial images of everyday objects re-interpreted under the guise of war.
