A portrait of 2534 Private John Albert Barker, 35th Battalion. Private Barker died on 1917-06-7. He is buried in the Toronto Avenue Cemetery, Warneton, Belgium. This portrait is taken from a composite photograph presented to the Abermain RSL by the ladies of the Abermain Comforts Fund. His father 1477 Private Barker was also killed in action and is on this composite panel (P01920.012). The composite photograph comprises portraits of the twenty five servicemen from Abermain who lost their lives in the war of 1914-1918 (Australian War Memorial negative number P01920.001).
