Addison, Robert MM (Corporal, b.1890 - d.1943)
Description
Transcript of the World War One diary of Cpl Robert Addison MM. The diary describes the journey to England, training in England, the fighting he was involved in on the Western Front, being awarded the Military Medal, getting shrapnel in his back, his bouts of trench fever, the armistice and waiting to go home. Several references are made about the native crew on the ship to England and how the soldier provoked the members of the crew into having boxing fights.
