Description
Charles (Charlie) Henry Stevens in his tricycle wheelchair with other veterans in front of the Shrine of Remembrance on Anzac Day. 2047 Private Stevens had his legs amputated after being wounded in action in France in June 1918. He obtained the wheelchair in England before returning to Australia and used it at various times until his death in 1991. It is now in the collection of the Australian War Memorial.
