Ohasi, Japan. 1945-08-28. Group portrait of some members of the crew of the New Zealand cargo vessel M.V. Hauraki and other prisoners of war (POWs) at the Japanese POW and internment camp at Ohasi. POWs were moved to Ohasi just prior to the end of the war and were billeted in a small theatre. M.V. Hauraki was captured by the Japanese armed merchant cruisers Aikoku Maru and Hokoku Maru in the Indian Ocean on 12 July 1942. Left to right: back row: W.P. Hall, 3rd engineer, W.
