On the border DPR/TV/238
Description
In the clammy heat of the Borneo jungle, Australian infantrymen are settling down to routine border patrolling. They are troops of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment, which moved into border outposts in Sarawak about three weeks ago to relieve British Army Ghurka soldiers. The unit is based on Bau, about 30 miles from Sarawak's sleepy capital of Kuching. From Bau, the most forward areas are only ten minutes away by the helicopters from base areas. Meanwhile, troops in the forward posts move out on patrol and police border areas against possible infiltration.
