2nd AIF march through Melbourne 24 January 1940
Description
Sir John Reid a keen photographer shot this film of the of the first city march by the 2nd AIF as a piece of history. Shows the 17th Brigade, 6th Division AIF led by Brigadier S G Savige march through the streets of Melbourne, watched by large crowds. Sir John Reid's Agfa cine camera is also held by the AWM at accession no. REL23940.
