Description
Bringing up the Guns, Mont St Quentin, August 8 1918, a bronze casting of a bas-relief sculpture by the Australian sculptor May Butler-George. The artist worked out of a studio at the St Kilda drill hall between 1919 and 1926; during this period she produced designs for the 2nd Australian Division memorial at Mont St Quentin, France. This casting was produced at the foundry of A Rudier of Paris.
