Royal Hohenzollern House Order, with Swords
Royal Hohenzollern House Order, with Swords [Hohenzollernscher Hausordern mit Schwertern]. White enamelled, black lined cross pattee surmounted by a crown, with crossed gilt swords between the arms superimposed on a green enamelled oak wreath. The obverse bears a white medallion bearing a black crowned eagle with the shield of Hohenzollern on its breast, within a blue circlet with the words 'VOM FELS ZUM MEER' (From the rock to the sea). The reverse bears a white medallion with agold royal cypher, within a blue circlet with the words 'DEN 18.IANUAR 1851'(the date it was instituted as a Royal Prussian Order). The ribbon is black with white side stripes.
