The Apex, Gallipoli. 1915-08. Lines of parallel dugouts recently dug on a hillside taken from the Turkish Forces during the battles of early August. Note the canvas roofs and sandbag protection. The area was no longer under direct fire and most of these men are undertaking routine duties. (Donor T. Henshall)
