Burke, Maurice Francis (Lieutenant, b.1885 - d.1955)
Description
Papers of No. 79 Lieutenant (Lt) Maurice Francis Burke (29 Battalion), including prisoner of war identity card from a POW camp at Freiburg, hand drawn map on parchment of the area immediately north of St Moritz (Switzerland), discharge certificate and correspondence. Added to this collection in September 2012 was a leave pass, two letters dated 28 June 1919 from the War Office in London granting leave to Lt Burke to travel to France, Lt Burke's passport issued 1 July 1919, and an Australian Imperial Force Statement of Accounts for Pte M.F Burke dated 26 May 1915.
