Nui Dat, South Vietnam. 1969-09. Army Public Relations photographer, Sergeant (Sgt) David Combe of Forbes, NSW, is presented with the Ilford 1969 Photographic Award for the Army's 'Picture of the Year' by the Commander of the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF), Brigadier C. M. I. Pearson of Deakin, ACT. His winning picture was of the Tracker Dog, Milo, and his handler Private Bob Hunter of Earlwood, NSW. Sgt Combe has been serving with the 1ATF for the past eleven months.
