History / Summary
Lieutenant George Box Carter, enlisted on 2 September 1914 and served with 10 Battalion and 5 Pioneer Battalion, AIF. He returned to Australia on 18 July 1919. Carter was awarded Military Cross for action in the period 22 September 1917 to 24 February 1918 and was also recommended for an award during the Gallipoli campaign (not awarded).
