The Fighting Fifth return
A home movie covering a city march and after of returned Army and RAAF from service in South Vietnam. Film opens with a graphic title W Long Pictures presents then titles The fighting 5th return and Sydney 12th May 1967. First scene shows a close up of a young woman with a returned soldier of the 5 Battalion The Royal Australian Regiment (5 RAR). Several brief scenes of Sydney streets. The 5 RAR band leading the marching troops. Various scenes of troops marching first 5 RAR then a few men from other army units and then the RAAF followed by an army Land Rover ambulance. Close up of 5 RAR Band. Scenes of troops lining up in formation at Garden Island RAN base and dismissed to relax, and be with family and friends on the lawn. Film finishes with title the end.
