History / Summary
401657 Flight Sergeant Cecil Salisbury Norman was born in Adelaide in 1916 and enlisted in the RAAF on 28 March 1941. He served as a pilot in in 75 Squadron, RAAF flying Kittyhawks. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Medal in February 1944, and was the only Australian fighter pilot in the Pacific Theatre to receive this decoration.
