Description
A concrete German fortress known as 'Gibraltar'. It was of great strength and twelve months earlier, when occupied by our troops after its capture, it withstood several direct hits. The 2nd Field Company attempted to make the redoubt into a machine gun position but found considerable difficulty in making a breach in the concrete. This is a stereo image. One half of the image is held at E00993.
