Description
Korea. 4 December 1951. The pennant which denotes the highest honour the US Government can bestow on a unit is held by two members of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR). They are: Lieutenant (Lt) L. G. Clarke of Brisbane, Qld (left), Guard Commander, and Major J. J. Shelton of Melbourne, Vic, Adjutant. Lt Clarke's right sleeve bears the citation device and the Commonwealth Division patch, beside his regimental flash. The citation will be worn by future members while they are on battalion strength.
