Trackers in Vietnam. FSPB Digger's Rest 1969
6 RAR Tracker Platoon at FSPB Diggers Rest. Dawn at FSPB Diggers Rest on Operation Burnham. In the bamboo at Diggers Rest, the Tracker Platoon prepare for a patrol. On patrol tracker dog Milo appears with his handler Bruce Alwyn Williams, followed by Lawrence James O'Shea, Richard William Robinson, Sgt Phillip Paul 'Butch' Buttigieg, Dennis John Luhrman, Cpl Leonard Alexander Faver (with headband), David Arthur 'Stretch' Holmes, Bruce Alwyn Williams and Milo, Cpl Robert Joseph Bettany (making a comment), John William Tunney and Russell John 'Mooka' McDonald with Trajan. At FSPB Diggers Rest. Firing 106mm Recoilless Rifle (RCL). then firing shoulder held 90mm RCL. Scene of Bell Sioux ('Possum') helicopter landing. Scene of Chinook helicopter with underslung load landing (the previous day, a similar helicopter inverted at a height of 200 feet and crashed on the edge of Diggers Rest, killing all 5 crew ).
After a wet season downpour, L Cpl Percy Francis Titchener seen playing with dog Milo. Later Bruce Alwyn Williams, dog handler plays with Milo, hiding a stick in his pocket. Closes with sunset at Diggers Rest.
