Ribbon bar for the Iron Cross Second Class, Lippe Cross for War Merit (Combatants), and House Order of Lippe with crossed swords device. The ribbon bar is pinned to a piece of ribbon for the Iron Cross.
History / Summary
Associated with Lieutenant (Reserves) Klocke, Company Commander, 7th Company, 58th Battalion, 55th Infantry Regiment, German Army. This ribbon bar was found at Dudgeon Wood in the Morcourt Valley on 8th August 1918 by 3738 Private James Eden, `C' Company, 13th Battalion AIF. Private Eden enlisted on 3 October 1917, served in France, and returned to Australia on 6 May 1919.
