Description
Papers of Lieutenant Cyril James Claridge McQuie who was awarded the MC and bar during his military service with the 6th Battalion in the First World War. The collection comprises roll books of the 6th Battalion, miscellaneous chits, receipts, invitations, business cards and a theatre ticket from Theatre des Arts, Villiers, France. Other items of interest include official notifications to Lt McQuie dated January and February 1919 while he was commanding the battalion and a letter of commendation from the Command Depot, Sutton, Veny, Wiltshire, dated 2 February 1919.
