Dismounted Pattern Mess Tin Mk.I. 'D' shape mess tin with a wire handle but without a lid. Impressed into bottom of tin "TESTOR & SWAIN/ 1915" and on the rear an upward arrow S.
History / Summary
Mess tins were issued to soldiers as part of their everyday personal equipment. Soldiers could cook their food in these tins and eat directly from them.
